Building in Solitaire

Without Regard to suit - When building a pile, column or row you may ignore the suit and build up or down based only on the rank of the cards.

Alternating suits - When building a pile, column or row on the tableau, you may not place a card on top of a card on the same suit.

With same suit - When building a pile, column, row or foundation all the cards must be of the same suit.

Alternating colors - When building on the tableau, you must alternate between red and black cards.

On the same color - When building on the tableau, you must use cards of the same color.

Building up - The card on top of the pile, column, row or foundation must be one less in rank than the card you are about to put on top of it. In other words, every card in the series has a rank one higher than the previous.

Building down - The card on top of the pile, column, row or foundation must be one greater in rank than the card you are about to put on top of it. In other words, every card in the series has a rank one lower than the previous.

Building up or down - The card on top of the pile, column, row or foundation must be one greater or one less in rank than the card you are about to put on top of it.

Build up or down in intervals - In some games you may have to build up in an interval like every other card in rank or every third, fourth, etc.
